I booked 3 rooms for our family of 8 for 1 night. It was a great deal and perfect for short stay. There is a pub in the property and McDonald’s is next door.
Room was very nice, clean and comfy, bed were very comfy, location was very good and there was plenty of parking available. The blue jay pub was very nice and friendly and a great selection of food available. I would definitely stay here again.
Went for late lunch/early dinner as 2 adults & 2 kids. Ample parking available & well lit for dark evenings. We hadn't booked a table but was able to be seated straight away. There is a small play area for young kids available next to the carvery section. Food & drink can be ordered either by app or at the bar. We ordered through the app & drinks arrived almost instantly. Food was a little bit of a wait but nothing to moan about & when arrived was nice & hot. We didn't have dessert, but the selection available wasn't too bad. Lovely food & great service.
It's fine. It's equivalent to a Travelodge in terms of facilities and comfort. There's the pub next door for food and drink and a Maccies also on site. Close enough to a bus stop to town or a bunch of local takeaways and a lidl
Great as usual, friendly team, great service. However, I must point out again that the crossing from the accommodation block to the pub is still like taking your life in your hands. The majority of visitors to McDonald's completely ignore or don't realise that there is a crossing point. There is no signage, no speed limit status and the white banding on the road is worn. Twice this weekend I was nearly taken out by speeding drivers (and I mean 30mph+) driving to or from McDonald's. I'm unsure who's responsibility this is: Marston McDonald's Derby City Council Or would it be a joint measure? Either way something needs to happen before someone is seriously injured or, God forbid, even killed. A response to this email would be appreciated.
It's a nice room, very comfy for two adults and two kids, and there was plenty of parking available.
my only criticism was the pub quiz it was far too loud and ruined our evening meal, we had no option but listen to paddy Mcginnis and whoever the other host of the quiz was it was most unpleasant was it absolutely necessary to have it so loud, other than that our stay was as usual a pleasant one .
